The custom player sprite will NOT be easy, though. I'm even attempting to make my own player sprite now, since this kind of motivated me. That's how I am attempting to change a few things. Is there an estimated release date set already? This friday I will post a pack containing act 1 of Spider Hill Zone, Jungle Jamboree and Wind Chime Zone. Using a pendrive recovery program in ubuntu I was able to at least recover the spritesheets making the recovery process more swiftly. And um there is no way to change the speed and invincibility music is there? ^^u Also the spikes collision box should be tweaked. Neither does the invincibility music or speed shoes song. Sometimes the title screen music doesn't play. P.S.: I'm not sure if its a problem with the engine or my computer. Here is the update if you notice any error. There was an error in jungle jamboree, a loop was missing a Loop Off tag, but its been updated. Those will take more time to recover so for now these will do. Last zone consisted of three acts, including lava more enemies and more challenges. My favorite acts before the backup loss were Mantic Ruins 2 and the Prison Block Zone. What about the music? (Sorry, Bridge Zone music is for later.) I'll appreciate all feedback since the Spider Hill version is a little old version and in sort of a different style to the later stages. The silly extra stage was a test stage created to, well test the oil ocean barrel /pipe mechanics. Please keep them in their own separated folder. They use different objects and images that could cause conflicts between the two versions. It is recommended that you do not merge your OpenSonic folder with this quest. Since I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish this 100% before the end of September I decided to include a bigger demo. I put all the information I could find in this one post so you guys don't have to look all over the internet for 4 hours like me.As promised here is a demo of my quest. I take absolute 0 credit for all the information in this post. If it wasn't for the lovely people over at the sonic adventure 2 steam 'discussions' page I would have never been able to get this running or make this for y'all If theres any other problem that you've been having you can put it in the comments so other redditors or I can try to help you. Thanks to the steam user: '.' all you have to do is make a folder called "SAVEDATA" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sonic Adventure 2\resource\gd_PCĪfter all of this you should finally be able to play the steam port of sonic adventure 2 / sonic adventure 2 battle. But theres a chance that no matter how may times you click the 'new save' button it won't work. When you finally get the game to boot you probably want to make a new save file. Warning: if you are missing the D3dx9_42.dll file do NOT Download the file by itself or the application from a website that is not the official Microsoft website. If you dont have Microsoft directX you can download it from the official Microsoft website. If you get a message saying something along the lines of 'D3x9_42.dll is missing' check if you have 'Microsoft directX' and if you do make shure you have the latest version. Steam is a verified source (on windows 10) and if Downloaded from an untrusted site could lead to an actual virus. Warning: make sure it's the sonic2app.exe file Downloaded from steam. The way I fixed this was going into my virus protector (McAfee) and having the sonic2app.exe file be ignored in future virus scans. This will cover sonic2app.exe deleting itself, D3dx9_42.dll missing, and unable to make a save file. Yesterday (December 31st 2019) I Downloaded sonic adventure 2 from steam and it took me nearly 4 hours to fix it since it had every problem I've seen reported.
